Upon entering the Casa Museo La Merced through its grand doorway, guests are welcomed into a beautiful, traditional Andalusian patio. This inner courtyard, a hallmark of 19th-century Málaga architecture, is a peaceful, open space with natural light streaming down, creating an inviting ambiance for visitors. This patio not only serves as a serene retreat within the building but also holds significant historical value.
At the heart of the patio, guests can admire an original feature from the building’s pre-renovation structure. This preserved piece includes a section of wall dating back to the building’s original 1868 construction, which has been carefully protected to honor its cultural and heritage significance. This part of the wall is an authentic remnant of the past, maintained by historical preservation efforts and symbolizing the property’s commitment to Málaga’s architectural legacy.
On the internal patio, where you can relax surrounded by flowers, plants and a beautiful fountain, it not allowed to smoke. Neither is smoking allowed in any of the rooms.
With an ambiance that combines traditional and modern, Casa Museo La Merced is a fantistic place for celebrations, small weddings or any special occasions where family and friends can celebrate together and stay in one of the 7 apartments.
The apartment welcomes you with a comfortable bed. The kitchen is a real treasure, with original tiles that reflect the rich history of the place, is equipped with stove, coffee maker, toaster, cooking utensils, refrigerator and storage space, allowing you to cook like at home. The bathroom with picturesque tiles, has a shower, toilet, sink, mirrors and hairdryer to make your stay comfortable.

In accordance with Community rules and aiming for good coexistence between guests and neighbors, at least one member of your group must be over 25 years old to stay in this apartment.
No Smoking: Please notice that this is a strictly non-smoking apartment.
The apartment is fitted with smoke detectors.
No Parties: Strictly no parties are allowed in this apartment as the apartment is located in a residential building. If you are coming to party, please book somewhere else.
No noise at night: No excessive noise is allowed after 21/9PM as the apartment is located in a residential building.
Late check-ins: If you arrive outside of normal hours, please note that there is a late check-in fee. If you arrive after 21/9pm the fee is 50€.
If a guest loses a set of keys during their stay, an 80€ fee will apply.
Please keep in mind that if you book last minute (less than 24 hours before your arrival), the official check-in time will be subject to our availability and will be after 4:00 PM.
Passport information: It is required by law to register all people staying in any tourist accommodation by their full name, birth date, and passport number. We will therefore request you to provide us with this information before your arrival.
For stays 28 days and over the following rules apply:
1) The included monthly amount that can be spend on supplies is €150, this includes water, gas and electricity. For example, if you stay 3 months, you will have €450 to spend in the entire period. If you spend more you will have to pay the difference at the end of the contract period.
2) A deposit will be charged that is calculated based on the duration of your stay. For 1-3 months reservations the deposit is €450, for 3-6 months reservations the deposit is €800 and for 6-11 months reservations the deposit is 1 monthly rent. The deposit will be refunded 30-45 days after the stay.
3) A rental contract will have to be signed prior to arrival.
4) We require a mandatory monthly cleaning that is NOT included in the price. The cost for each monthly cleaning is €60 and will be a day of your choosing, it will last 3 hours. This is a way to ensure that our flat is kept clean and in good condition.
5) We will personally welcome you at the apartment.
