We know what it means to be a ‘foodie’. We know what it means to really dive in and indulge in local authentic cuisines. We know.
Teaming up with different restaurants based on personal experience and recommendations, we are kicking off our very u-nique food series’ with an exclusive insight into Tapeo. Often referred to as a hidden gem, it’s not just a restaurant, it’s an experience. This is definitely a tapas bar out of the ordinary. Located in the heart of Barcelona, Tapeo has been attracting customers from near and far for over a decade.
We had the great privilege of meeting with the brains behind it all: Daniel Rueda (Tapeo owner). While we know most people go to Tapeo for the amazing food, great range of wines and champagnes and the atmosphere; we were particularly amazed by his trade secrets (not so secretive anymore) and finding out what is so special about Tapeo that leaves people desiring more. (See video below)
The tapas served here are in some part a little more unusual than your standard jamon, croquetas or calamari. You can indulge in dishes such as prawns, pigs trotters and morcilla (not all together!) Great wine, beers and to top it off, a homemade dessert to cleanse your palette. And better yet, all at an affordable price, catering to everyones budget, taste and requirements.
Tip: On Friday and weekends, it is extremely busy, so if you are planning to take a trip to Tapeo, be sure to make a reservation to avoid disappointment.
